When homeowner Kate embarked on her kitchen renovation journey, she had a clear vision: to create a space that was not only functional but also social, seamlessly integrating the stunning garden views into the design. The result is a breathtaking kitchen that marries practicality with elegance, with a centrepiece being the exquisite CRL Quartz Verona worktops.

The kitchen, spanning approximately 4.5 by 5.5 meters, presented a unique design challenge. With openings or glazing on all sides, the conventional approach of filling the room with base and wall units was off the table. Instead, the designers opted for a modern solution: tall cabinets, including a built-in larder and a pantry with bi-fold doors. This ingenious design hides all the large appliances, ensuring the worktops remain clutter-free and visible from every angle, enhancing the room’s airy and open feel.

One of the most delightful aspects of the new kitchen is how it embraces the outdoor scenery. “The kitchen sink enjoys the best views, looking even better with the lovely CRL Quartz running over the sill,” Kate remarks. The choice of CRL Quartz for this area was both practical and visual. The seamless run of quartz over the windowsill creates a continuous, clean look that frames the garden views like a piece of art.

Breaking away from the traditional triangular workspace concept, the kitchen island takes centre stage in this design. The hob is strategically placed facing out into the room, positioning the chef at the heart of the activity.

The furniture in the kitchen is an in-frame painted design with a light wood grain, bringing an element of nature indoors. This choice complements the garden views and adds to the overall serene and natural feel of the space. The subtle wood grain texture of the cabinets contrasts beautifully with the smooth, sleek surface of the CRL Quartz worktops.

“I knew from the outset that I wanted quartz worktops,” Kate says with enthusiasm. She chose slim 20mm profile tops from CRL Stone, specifically the Verona finish. The subtle marble pattern of the Verona finish is a perfect match for the kitchen’s colour scheme, harmonizing the hues of the wall units and the island.

CRL Quartz is renowned for its durability and aesthetic appeal. The material is resistant to scratches, stains, and heat, making it an ideal choice for a busy kitchen. “It’s hardwearing and looks so beautiful – it’s the ultimate luxury,” Kate adds. The combination of practicality and beauty makes CRL Quartz a standout feature in this kitchen renovation.

The finished kitchen is more than just a place to cook; it’s a space designed for living, with the CRL Quartz Verona worktops bringing it all together.
