The natural beauty and superior durability of Meteora Gris from CRL Stone has been recognised with a top design award, as the surface wins the prize for Best Bathroom Surface at the Livingetc Style Awards 2022.
Picked up by the judges out of the hundreds of entries received, Meteora Gris is recognised as being among the best in modern design. Awards judge and Livingetc Editorial Director Sarah Spiteri comments: “It’s a great material, with a beautiful textured finish and it’s also cost-effective over large surfaces.”
Meteora Gris is an MDI surface, exclusively produced for CRL Stone by Inalco. For seamless, minimal styling with no grout lines in the bathroom at just 6mm thick, it is the perfect wall cladding solution, creating a spa-like shower area.
The textured finish of the material enhances its natural beauty, adding to the feeling of wellness in the bathroom, while the distinctive stone-effect patterning in on-trend grey, combines harmoniously with a myriad of colours and materials, acting as a blank canvas in the modern home.
Meteora Gris has practical appeal too, with the non-porous, scratch and stain resistant material supplied in a slab format to make installation straightforward, even over large areas.
To create your ideal kitchen or bathroom it’s important to have plenty of choice in terms of materials and styles. With Ceralsio ceramic surfaces now available in a greater variety of thicknesses, plus several new finishes, it’s time to get really creative with your interior design.
Slim profiles on worktops give a kitchen or bathroom a contemporary edge, making these latest thicknesses right on trend. Available in a 6mm thickness which is ideal for flooring and wall cladding, Ceralsio can be used in a variety of different ways around the home. Make an eye-catching splashback to match or contrast with the worktop or countertop, or ensure your kitchen and bathroom flooring is easy to clean and highly durable, the options are plenty.
Alternatively, Ceralsio can also be chosen in 12mm and 20mm thicknesses, which are ideal for high-traffic areas of the home where durability is a must. As well as being scratch and stain resistant, Ceralsio will also not fade from UV rays, so it can be used for outdoors as well as internally. This makes it perfect for surfaces that cross over between the two in the on-trend indoor outdoor kitchen, ready for those summer barbecues at home come rain or shine!
The range of styles of Ceralsio are just as diverse, with new finishes tapping into the latest trends to make it simple to embrace the hottest looks in your home. From marble-effect patterning that creates a luxurious, high-end impression that is so easy to look after, to dark and sophisticated ceramic shades that combine brilliantly with trending materials such as metal, wood and glass for an industrial-inspired space, there is something to suit all tastes.

CRL Stone’s second outing to the Natural Stone Show at London’s Excel was hugely successful as they exhibited their full range of 77 materials.
Retailers, architects, designers, developers and fabricators flooded the stand throughout the three-day event, showing a particular interest in the 12 new materials freshly added to its collection. The new Ceralsio Ceramic range brought an industrial nature-inspired feel to the stand while the grey tones and marble-inspired styles of the new CRL Quartz surfaces brought a more ‘classic elegance meets industrial chic’ feel.
Covering an expanse of 120 sqm, the stand’s highlights included the beautiful, large table made of Ceralsio Ferro Vecchio, a material that adopts the appearance of poured concrete, giving a softer alternative to industrial-inspired designs. Another stand out feature at the show was the reception desk made of Ceralsio Calacatta Extreme, which features a bold marble-effect pattern running throughout. The large format sample of CRL Quartz Pacific Grey, with its luxurious veining emulating the natural beauty of marble, displayed on the grey walls was also a highlight.
The stand featured an area showing CRL Stone’s large range of tools, the most comprehensive range of tools and accessories in the stone market today. The brand-new stone tools and accessories brochure was available along with a hospitality area which gave visitors the opportunity to enjoy drinks and nibbles whilst talking all things stone with the CRL Stone experts.
Stands I40 and J40 at The Natural Stone Show 2019 will combine a nature-inspired collection with an industrial feel, as CRL Stone exhibits 12 exciting new materials freshly added to its CRL Quartz and Ceralsio collections, bringing the overall offering to 77 materials.
The show will take place in Excel, London from the 30th April to the 2nd May where visitors will be among the first to see the new materials in the distributor’s popular CRL Quartz and Ceralsio Ceramic ranges. The new Ceralsio materials are all influenced by the trend for nature-inspired materials and industrial lines while classic elegance meets industrial chic with the latest additions to the CRL Quartz range with grey tones and marble-inspired styles being a particular highlight.
The Ceralsio collection is enhanced with the distinctive marble effect pattern of Calacatta Extreme which will turn the reception area into a design statement at the show. New materials also include Cervino, which features an authentic and individual character thanks to its marble-inspired patterning on a crisp white background, and Cosmopolitan Grey and Cosmopolitan Silver which both exude an industrial style that will fit in any urban, contemporary space. Inspired by the lean towards raw materials in interior design and adopting the appearance of poured concrete, Ferro Vecchio will be a stand out feature as the extra-large central table on CRL Stone’s stand at the show.
The CRL Quartz range is also set to be extended at The Natural Stone Show 2019, with the introduction of six new materials. Reflecting the key design trends of the moment, the collection includes the newly added Pacific Grey, Calacatta, Antonella and Pearl Grey. New materials Grey Shimmer and Silver Shimmer have also been added to the CRL Quartz collection due to customer demand.
CRL Stone’s 120sqm stand will include the new additions along with Ceralsio and CRL Quartz best-sellers, giving visitors to the show the opportunity to see the full range of over 77 materials in one place.

Be among the first to see the new Ceralsio and CRL Quartz surfaces on Stands I40 and J40 at The Natural Stone Show 2019, 30th April-2nd May at the Excel London.
CRL Stone made the very most of exhibiting at KBB Birmingham, showcasing its entire collection of ceramic and quartz surfaces in a large range of colours. Among them were new styles across the Ceralsio and CRL Quartz collections, responding to the natural vibe in design trends and influenced by striking materials including marble and granite.
The Ceralsio ceramic surface collection by CRL Stone is enhanced for 2018 with four new colours, all taking nature as their inspiration and all distinctly different.
Ceralsio Statuario has a distinctive grey veining on a crisp white background, while Carrara Vagli has a beautiful grey and gold vein that emulates the look of marble from the Tuscany quarries. Other new colours include Pietra Grey, distinguished by its subtle white veining, while Ossido replicates the industrial look of oxidised steel.
Designed to meet the demands of modern living and suitable for worktops, vanity tops, tiling, flooring and wall cladding, Ceralsio is totally impermeable, completely stain and scratch resistant, very thermally stable and shock resistant, available in three thicknesses – 12mm for a slim worktop, 10mm for floor tiling and 6mm for wall cladding – and in a natural, textured or polished finish.
